Established in 1933, and purchased by Coterie Holdings in 2023, Hallgarten & Novum Wines is one of the UK's leading 'specialist' wine distributors. With over 90 years of experience, Hallgarten imports wines from producers in all corners of the winemaking world, supplying the country’s premium on and off-trade.

In 2018, the business achieved the ISO 14001 accreditation for its dedication to minimising its environmental impact, as well as successfully meeting all criteria to attain the Silver Investors in People accreditation in 2023.

In 2026, Hallgarten is proud to have been awarded The Drinks Business ‘On-Trade Supplier of the Year’ award for the second consecutive year. In 2025, Hallgarten was also named The Drinks Business ‘On-Trade Supplier of the Year’; the Sommelier Wine Awards ‘Fine Wine Merchant of the Year Trophy 2025’, ‘New World Merchant of the Year Trophy 2025’, and for the second consecutive year, the ‘Large Merchant of the Year Trophy 2025’; and the IWC’s ‘On-Trade Wine Supplier of the Year 2025’ and ‘Large Agent of the Year 2025’.
