Founded in 1780, Corney & Barrow is one of the oldest independent wine merchants in the UK. From its beginnings as a London trader in Port, Sherry and Bordeaux, the company now has offices in London, Leeds, Edinburgh, Hong Kong, Singapore and Shanghai, supported by retail shops in Newmarket and Ayr, which also act as regional hubs.

Corney & Barrow's success is built on enduring, predominantly exclusive relationships with some of the world's most respected wine producers. Many have worked with Corney & Barrow for decades and across generations. These partnerships span every level of the portfolio, from prestigious names including Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, Petrus, Pingus and Champagne Salon to grassroots, regional cooperatives in Gascony and Galicia, small producers working with ancestral methods in southern Chile, and pioneering winemakers in the wilds of northern Argentina.

Corney & Barrow maintains a deliberately focussed portfolio. Every wine must have impeccable provenance and represent an outstanding expression of a region, wine style, grape variety or blend, offering genuine quality and fair value at its respective price point. Working with a relatively small number of producers allows relationships to deepen over time. Winemakers regularly visit the UK and Asia to host dinners and trade events, allowing both customers and the Corney & Barrow team to engage with the women and men behind the wines.

This long-term approach extends to every aspect of the business, from dedicated sales teams across the UK to distribution managed through its own fleet of delivery vans. It has also inspired innovations in customer service: Corney & Barrow was the first wine merchant in the UK to establish a wine broking business dedicated to managing customer reserves.

Today, Corney & Barrow supplies a broad spectrum of customers, including restaurants, hotels, private members' clubs, independent wine merchants, national hospitality groups, private clients and the Royal Household. The company is honoured to hold Royal Warrants of Appointment as Wine Merchants to both HM King Charles III and HM Queen Camilla, making it one of only seven companies appointed by both Their Majesties and the only wine merchant to hold a Royal Warrant from HM The Queen.
